Facebook lanceert Facebook Music en Facebook Movies
Nieuwe features moeten MySpace gebruikers trekkenFacebook.com zit niet stil. Het een-na-grootste sociale netwerk ter wereld wil zo snel mogelijk de positie van MySpace overnemen. Daartoe komt het bedrijf nu met features die vooral MySpace groot gemaakt hebben: Muziek en Films. Daartoe opent Facebook twee nieuwe onderdelen op haar site: Music on Facebook en Film on Facebook. Doel: artiesten naar de site trekken, of ze nu muziek maken of video/film produceren.

De dienst wordt alsvolgt omschreven: Facebook today launched two new Pages for music and film aimed at getting musical artists and film makers on the site. The new pages are templates for artists that include applications specifically designed for music and film, such as a reviews app, a Flash player, and the Facebook music player, as well as officially co-branded Facebook apps from sites such as iLike and Fandango.
